Indirect restorations: Inlays & Onlays
For larger and serial restorations, inlays and onlays are normally proposed. This option is actually preferred in the case of full-quadrant rehabilitation and also when important occlusal corrections are needed. We rarely propose ceramic inlays & onlays since they have proven less resistant over time (numerous fatigue fractures). Nevertheless, if the patient wishes that such a material be used for her/his posterior restorations, we can of course offer this option. In this case we would select the strongest materials available on the market.
